Hartman Awards for Student Papers & Industry Leadership 2005
The Center

achievements in aeronautical engineering. Graduate students of member
universities who have worked on a COE research project are eligible for
these awards.
Competitions
held at COE Joint meetings have produced dozens of recognitions for
outstanding research done through the Centers.
Student Poster
competitions presented at the FAA COE annual joint meetings have grown to be
technical displays of cutting edge aviation research and have provided an
efficient means of sharing in innovations which are coming out of the
Centers of Excellence community. The poster competition in 2005 had 29
entries representing each of the seven Centers of Excellence.
The
DOT COE Outstanding Student

presented by the Department of Defense yearly to a deserving COE graduate or
post graduate. The seventh of these recognitions will be awarded in
January of 2006.
The

Professor Joseph Hartman of Boise State University who was one of the
founding directors of the Center.
